The College Essay

This webinar will include ways to brainstorm the right topic for you and advice on approaching this pivotal part of your application. You will learn why the essay is important to colleges like Providence College, and some tips to help you focus on what to include. You will hear from Office of Admission staff members who have read hundreds of essays and can help you feel more confident as you begin your application, and also learn more about resources you can use to help write your essay. One such resource is from a Providence College graduate, Roy Peter Clark. He has been referred to as "America's Writing Coach" and we are lucky to have received some copies of his newest book about writing college admission essays called Writing Tools for the College Admissions Essay: Write Your Way into the School of Your Dreams. We will be giving some away to some lucky attendees, so we hope to see you there!
